CACAO - THE FOODS OF THE GODS
The ancient civilizations were using Cacao as a medicine and a ritual to open the heart, get closer to your spirit, to each other listen to the divine self and connect.
Cacao has been served for many many years for healing the body, it has a lot of nutrients that when you eat or drink it in its pure form it can help heal the body and the soul. I’m glad and happy to see that people have been curious about Cacao Ceremonies and having an inner call to be part of a ceremony that helps them connect to Mother Earth, the universe and mainly to their hearts.
Many people hear a calling to connect with the Cacao Spirit. This calling is described as curiosity, a longing for more connection, a whisper in the heart or a strong voice to reconnect with Mother Nature. Cacao is a spiritual dimension, an intelligence that we cannot perceive with the mind, but with the heart, the intuition and through feelings.
I am happy and honored to share the guidelines to bring the cacao to your life.
The Cacao Spirit is a keeper of ancient, sacred wisdom. The spiritual dimension is described as a medicine of the Soul, a medicine of Peace and as a Rainbow Medicine. Most indigenous peoples regard the Cacao Spirit as a feminine force and associate her powers with the emotional body, the voice and a way to communicate with Spirit.
Mama Cacao holds the vibrations of kindness, unconditional love, and joy, allowing a loving connection with yourself and others. Cacao opens the energy of healing, Mama Cacao speaks to the heart. When we connect with the heart’s energy our inner voice is being activated, and the heart opens to feel, want and mainly listen.
You can join a group cacao ceremony or do it yourself.
A Cacao Ceremony is a sacred ancient ritual to honor Mother Earth, it helps feeling the harmony of the ones, and brings people and energy together.
Express gratitude for Life itself.
Cacao Ceremonies respond to an increasing longing for connection, ritual and ceremony in an urban environment. When offered with integrity you may feel love and experience yourself and feel part of a celebration.
Her energy (Cacao) can be healing, soothing, connecting, deepening, releasing or creative. But Cacao always teaches you - about balance, living a more heart-centered life and the universal laws of Nature.
You may require some quiet time and a slowing of your system and brain activity. You will be more receptive when you are relaxed. Spending time in Nature, grounding into Earth and breathing consciously will help you to connect with the present moment, which is the doorway to the spiritual dimension.
HOW TO:
CREATE A SACRED SPACE
Create a loving and comfortable space. You may use incense or herbs to 'cleanse' your space and light a candle to invite the element fire into your center. An altar is 'a prayer made visible' and creating one may support your journey. Choose things that lift your energy, help you feel more connected with yourself like crystals, candles, incense and more.
Get organic ceremonial cacao, add warm water and honey (do not boil the cacao - it will take away some of the nutrients) when you make it make sure to put good intentions and love.
If you are a beginner, add vegan milk, vanilla, cinnamon, cayenne.
Hold the cacao in your heart area. (Organic)
SET YOUR INTENTION
The intention is the holding and protecting container and sets the tone of your cacao ritual. Questions you may ask yourself: Why am I sitting in Ceremony? What aspect do I wish to explore? In what area do I wish to receive clarity, ease, joy?
Connect with your intention and open the sacred space.
Connect with your heart. Invite Cacao into your heart and into your space. Allow yourself to feel, move, dance, play an instrument, paint. Let yourself feel the freedom to be.
GROUND AND GIVE THANKS
Say words from the heart and express gratitude for anyone who made the cacao, the growers, the land, the plant and whatever comes to your heart.
When you are ready to close the ceremony, announce closing the space.
I recommend doing it a few times with someone who already opens and closes a cacao ceremony and learns to bring a positive intention and love to the room.
